Playstation Plus Explained

What's the price:

  • £11.99,  €14.99 - 90 days (3 months)
  • £39.99,  €49.99 - 1 year

Where can i get this?:

  • It will be available from the PSN Store exactly like the way First Play is purchased.

What do it get?:

Free Games

  • 1 PSN Game
  • 1 PS1 Classic
  • 2 PSP Minis
You will receieve 4 pre-selected games per month, but this is not always the case has sometimes you can receive more then this but this changes from time to time.

Free Game Trials
You can try out Full Retail Games (Blu-Ray Disc) or PSN Games for free for 1 hour and do anything you  would normally do if you had actually bought the game such as Play online with or against friends or just play the singplayer.

Automatic Downloading

With PSN + you PS3 will search through your game library and look for updates (patches) for your games and then download them with out having to pop the disc in for each and every game. (as they are available) This even works with PS3 Firmware updates so you never need to lift a finger.

Also you can schedule what time you want you PS3 to update if any ones are available so it never has to get in the way of say watching a blu-ray movie or streaming content to your PS3.

Wait, there's more

Not only all of the above but you also recieve premium avatars and dynamic themes each month, many of which are exclusive to PSN + members.

There will also be discounts available on loads of PlayStation Store content, just for PSN +  members, so make the most of them as thay will change each month.

Finally wherever possible we’ll be making sure that PSN + members are included in some selected demos and beta trials before they go live to the public so you can brag to your mates.

When can i get this?:

  • Its be avilable from the PSN Store now.

What Countries will it be in?:

  • It will launch in all SCEE controlled Countries with the exception of Russia and Turkey.

What will i lose if my subscription stops?

The only things you will lose are the 4 games you recieve each month and obviously the auto-downloading and free game trials. Content such as Premium Avatars, Themes, Discounts or Exclusive Game Add-ons you got when you where a member will be yours to keep.

Star Wars Complete Saga Blu-Ray

The box and what you get
Here's my review on the star wars saga on blu-ray, first I'm going to talk about the case design of the blu-ray. when i first opened the package i was quite surprised at how well its put together, although i would of preferred a steel book type i still think that it stands out neither the less.  the box its self is like a slip case really, with a removable card with details of whats in the collection.

Inside of the case if you pre-ordered you would of receive a filmstrip of the movies. it's a nice incentive for a star wars collector followed by the guide which has some nice artwork inside, overall the design is well put together but i still think it needs that steel book look.

On design ill give it. 7/10

What i thought of the movies
Now on to what the movies were like in blu-ray quality, and ill say this! i was blown away by the sound and picture quality some of the cockpits of the ships in the first 3 star wars kind of looked to out of place but maybe that's down to how sharp the images looked in the movie.

In phantom menace i noticed watto had a small glitch where his clothes disappeared into his body and back out only for a split second but was very noticeable by me. overall the first 3 looked great but because of CGI it did stand out. now on to the classics to me i felt there was more realism to the movies! is this because most was made from puppetry?! yes i think it does, which is why i still think its the best method still to this day to use in movies like this. has for the small tweaks that didn't need putting in it really didn't spoil the movie for me i still enjoyed it.

so if you look past the small tweaks and glitches in the movie i still get the feeling you will enjoy it ill give the overall design and how the movie looks. 8/10

First bit of news from me looks like we will be getting a remake Resident Evil 4 in HD it seems that it will be released for download on PlayStation Network on Wednesday, September 21st.  Resident Evil 4 takes place Five years after the Raccoon City outbreak, Leon S. Kennedy is back in action and on a new assignment. The President’s daughter has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult in Europe and it’s your mission to rescue her and make it out alive. The entire Resident Evil 4 experience (including all bonus content from previous versions) has been remastered in high definition and will be a treat for both new fans and RE veterans.

Has a celebration of its beginnings on PlayStation 15 years ago SCEE is offering some Resident Evil deals for PlayStation fans.
